Highway 38 Solutions is a family business — Rick and Amanda Krueth’s company. Rick spent his career in machine shops — CNC programming, setup, and supervision — until a bad back and fibromyalgia ended his time on the floor. So he built the tool he wished he’d had: one office that runs the paperwork side, so the hours go back to the work.
The founder
From the machine floor to the Business Office.
Rick was a machinist by trade — programming and setting up CNC mills and lathes, designing fixtures and tooling, tending robots, quoting parts, and running production. Machine shops are his home ground.
One habit runs through all of it: automation. Rick has always built automation into the work — from programming to Excel sheets, across his whole career. If a job repeated, he found a way to make the system do it. Highway 38 is that same habit, grown up — the automation he used to build for one shop floor, now built for the businesses still doing the paperwork by hand.
His body made the call his head wouldn’t: a bad back and fibromyalgia closed the shop door. What didn’t close was the knowledge — how quoting really works, how jobs pile up, and how the paperwork eats an owner’s evenings.
He knows the contracting field well, and the Office is built for the people still in it: one system for customers, quotes, jobs, schedule, and money — AI help that drafts, and a person who always approves.
Highway 38 is a family business, too — Amanda is part of it, and it carries whatever the family brings.
