FAQ

Straight answers,
before you ask.

The questions every business asks us, answered with the same numbers we publish everywhere else. Anything about your specific job, property, or timing starts with a request — we never guess at those here.

Pricing

What it costs

How much is the Office?

One flat plan: $149/month for your whole crew. The first 10 founding businesses lock in $99/month for life — the rate never goes up while you stay subscribed. Full numbers are on the pricing page.

Is there a per-user fee?

No. One price covers the whole crew — office and field. No per-seat math, no surprise bill when you add a person.

What is an AI action — and what if I run out?

An action is a piece of work the AI does for you: a drafted quote, a follow-up, a review request, your morning digest. The plan includes 5,000 actions a month — most businesses never come close. Need more? Add 5,000 more for $49.99, quoted before it runs.

Are there hidden fees?

No. Add-ons that cost us money — card processing, texting, phone minutes — pass through at the provider’s cost with no markup, and the exact rate is confirmed with you before anything turns on.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Monthly plans cancel anytime.

What does the founding spot actually get me?

The $99/mo rate locked for life, the AI phone/texting setup free (a $99 value), and the paper-scanning setup free within the stated limits (a $299 value). Founding spots are the first 10 businesses, first come.

The Office

What it does

What does the Business Office actually do?

Customers, quotes, jobs, schedule, invoices, money, documents, and payroll prep in one place — with Hank, the AI office worker, drafting the paperwork on our side.

Do I need to be tech-savvy?

No. If you can text, you can run this. And every workflow works manually — the AI assists, it never gates.

Does the AI send things to my customers without asking me?

Never. Hank drafts; you approve. Nothing customer-facing goes out without the owner’s say — quotes, follow-ups, review requests, posts, all of it.

I already have software. Do I start over?

No. Smart Upload is included: paste a list or upload a spreadsheet and the AI organizes it into clean records — you confirm every record before anything saves. Paper records? Photograph them with your phone, or use the scanning setup below.

What about my paper records?

The “Bring Us Your Mess” scanning setup digitizes them for you: $299 one-time, and free for the founding 10 within the stated limits (about 300 pages or 150 customer records). Bigger messes are quoted and approved before extra work starts — never open-ended.

AI phone & texting

Your number, answered

How does the AI phone setup work?

It is own-it, on purpose: you own your carrier account and your number — we never run your phone account for you. We set it up with you: routing, greeting and FAQs, forwarding or porting, and a live test call before it goes live.

What does the setup cost?

$99 one-time — and free for the founding 10. After that, usage passes through at cost: a local number runs about $1/mo, texts about 0.4–0.83 cents each, and answered calls about 1 cent a minute to the carrier plus about 5 cents a minute while the AI is speaking.

What does the AI receptionist do?

Answers with your greeting, your hours, and your FAQs, and captures the lead straight into your Office. It stays off until you turn it on.

Manufacturing & prototypes

The machine side

Can you make a part — or a whole prototype?

That is home turf. Highway 38 was built by a machinist, and combined with our partner shops, we can provide most manufactured parts. Some of it we make in-house ourselves. Mack’s line covers it: “You bring the idea. I’ll get it built.”

What does a prototype cost?

Every job is different, so every job is quoted in writing before work starts — no ballparks dressed up as prices. Start a request with the rough version and we will scope it.

Can a prototype turn into a machine?

Yes — that is the point of prototyping it first. A prototype that proves out can lead to buying the machine, and we will tell you honestly whether it proved out.
